Second Chances

Throughout the season of Lent, you heard from me nearly every day. Now, I’d like to hear from you.

The power of being an “Easter people” is that we get to live into the promise of resurrection. New life emerges from the ashes of the old and we each day is a new opportunity to live into the promise of life.

The things of spring are great examples of new life: budding trees turning green, flowers erupting into bright colors, baby animals taking their first steps, and the fragile eggs, lovingly nurtured by mama birds, breaking open with eager chirps.

Reba McEntire once said, “Easter is very important to me. It’s a second chance.”

Resurrection is a second chance. It’s a new beginning. It’s a chance to stop dying and to begin living.

So… drop me a note in the comments and tell me what Easter means to you. Where do you see evidence of the resurrection being lived out?
